Before NUGA, I couldn't write this much without pain. I have rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It is very hard to get up and down. It is also hard to write or even make a fist. I can also write better, and open and close my hands and bend my ankles without severe pain. I have been able to get up and down from a sitting position without severe pain.
